I wrote to Ryan Reynolds yesterday, asking him if he’d be kind enough to support RED January Canada and share the message with his followers.
RED January is a free, nationwide movement from the U.K. coming to Canada.
RED (Rise Every Day) is an inclusive, all-ages campaign empowering everyone to get active together for their social, mental and physical well-being for the 31 days of January.
We are only weeks from launching the 2024 event, and our mission is simple – to get as many Canadians participating as possible. If you haven’t already, here’s a link to register, which only takes a few seconds.
So, how do I get on as many people’s radars as possible to make the most significant impact?
Reaching out to legendary Canadians, like Ryan Reynolds to help spread the word. That’s how.
You might think, “You’re crazy, Jan!”
Yes. Or am I?
I am not beyond asking for help because that’s been reinforced since I was a kid and then most recently with my husband’s cancer journey.
Because life doesn’t happen when you sit on the sidelines.
Life happens when you show up, even when it’s uncomfortable.
Just like changing habits for better health, what’s holding you back from being the best version of yourself?
Often, it comes down to our limiting beliefs about what’s possible and what’s not.
Limiting beliefs (or “no way” mentality) are disempowering and can create fear, anger, frustration, or resentment.
A “what if” (growth) mindset, on the other hand, is empowering and creates love, gratitude, acceptance, and optimism.
As Teddy Roosevelt so famously said. “We have got but one life here, and what comes after it we cannot with certainty tell; but it pays, no matter what comes after it, to try and do things, to accomplish things in this life, and not merely to have a soft and pleasant time.”
And I’ll be sure to let you know when Ryan responds.
Your coach and friend,
P.S. Contact me – firstname.lastname@example.org – if you know Ryan Reynolds or any other famous Canadian who would be an excellent champion to help the RED January campaign. I’ll share more about the specifics with you and would love an introduction and to ask for their help, too!
