How can PLAY help your mental health?

How can PLAY help your mental health?

By Published On: April 9th, 2021

This is what mental health advocates look like.

My family is part of why PLAY is such a fundamental piece of the work I do.

You may not have had experience with mental illness, but I bet you know someone who’s struggling with their mental health or maybe in the process of getting help.

When people stop PLAYING, there is a direct correlation with increased anxiety and depression.

PLAY can help to manage the symptoms of anxiety and depression as well as bust isolation and loneliness.

How can PLAY help your mental health?

No matter what our age, PLAY can be an essential part of the solution. It is a crucial part of our health from childhood to adulthood.

What if you could explore more of what brings you joy?

Well, you can!

Next weekend I am presenting a session called “Finding The Play In Your Day” as part of the inaugural Live Well Virtual Summit, a weekend of wellness brought to you by my friend Michelle Planche of Paradigm Events.

The Live Well Virtual Summit runs from Friday, May 28th and Saturday, May 29th.

This summit features over 17 wellness sessions falling into seven pillars of health. Flow (yoga, pilates), Cleanse (nutrition, holistic healing), Glow (natural beauty), Play (mental wellbeing, fun sessions), Reflect (meditation, journaling), Grow (stress management, learning) and Nourish (well-balanced eating for a healthy lifestyle).

You can customize your experience to suit your needs. There are limited spots available for purchase, and because you know me, you can get 15% off when you register by using my first name (JANET), all in caps,

And now that we are OFFICIALLY encouraged by our government (can you give me a “heck ya!”) to do more outdoor activities because they are SAFER than being indoors, I hope you and your family have an excellent, PLAYFUL long weekend!

PLAY ON!
