How to begin something new
It’s the end of January and a wrap of RED 2025.
WOW! Thank you for being here.
January has been a month of incredible inspiration and motivation. Thanks to the remarkable efforts of REDders worldwide, particularly those in Canada.
What is the common thread across this community? The bottom line is to begin.
Show up and Rise Every Day, even when it’s not perfect.
In my commitment to RED this month, I embraced the joy of the familiar and trying new things.
From line dancing to skiing, pickleball to walks, and even a golf simulator, I dived into a world of new experiences.
Each one brought a sense of excitement and adventure.
Then, last weekend, I got to celebrate my 58th birthday and be with the other authors at the launch of the “Resilient A.F. Vol. 2” book in Times Square.
Being part of a community to lift each other up even when it was cold and dark made January fun!
It also connected me physically, mentally and socially to many great people.
It’s easy to talk ourselves out of trying something new. It’s just as easy and a lot more fun to find something interesting to do.
Taking action each day to rise and connect doesn’t have to be limited to January.
If you have talked yourself out of activities you used to like in the past, ask yourself if there is something you’d like to learn or explore, something you’ve always thought you might want to try.
RED is a platform that empowers individuals to embark on a journey of self-discovery.
Like changing a habit, it’s about staying curious and experimenting with what best suits your life.
Find out what interests you. Don’t limit your interests or activities.
Opening up to the world and all it offers expands your creativity.
Discovering and letting yourself pursue your interests will be part of your well-being.
Remember, every morning is a chance to start anew.
Don’t be afraid to be a beginner; you’re never too old to learn something new and take control of your health.
Play on!
Your coach and friend,
Janet xo
