Your 365 Podcast Having been in the health and fitness industry for almost 20 years, I’ve learned a thing or two about optimal health and active living. I also understand how your body is an incredible machine and when things aren’t working right, it tries to tell you through pain, discomfort or worse. Many people ignore those signs and symptoms – hoping they will go away. When I was in my 20’s I was one of those people who ignored my body’s signs and symptoms that something was terribly wrong and that choice almost killed me. It was also the defining point in my life that I swore I’d never take my health for granted and have kept that promise ever since.
When I was asked recently to speak about health coaching and lifestyle, my interviewer, Michelle Bronson, asked me about that event. What she didn’t know that since the first brush with death, I’ve had two more – and luckily lived to tell them too. While the second and third incidents were out of my control, those occurrences taught me even an even greater lesson about paying attention.
