The 3 Words That Predict Whether Change Will Stick

This week reminded me why I do what I do.

It began with a powerful conversation in the park with my Vitality Retreat client, Wendy (pictured above).

We weren’t there to “exercise”—we were there to play.

Walking, laughter, swinging from the high bar, meaningful chat. Nothing fancy.

Just movement that felt like freedom and joy (you can see us in action over on my Instagram account.

At one point, she paused and said, “This doesn’t feel like exercise. This feels like a reset.”

Exactly.

The next day, I had a conversation with my client Christine, who said:

“Getting healthy never just feels easy… and I think that’s what frustrates me the most.”

I replied: “It’s simple. Just not easy. No wonder you feel frustrated.”

She pushed back: “Even the word simple feels… not simple.”

And I said: “Maybe you just haven’t ever defined what simple looks like for YOU.”

That’s the deeply personalized approach I take in coaching.

Not handing someone a plan and saying, “Stick with it.”

But sitting beside them until the fog lifts.

Listening. Reflecting. Helping clients figure out what they’re truly ready, willing, and able to do.

Because here’s the truth:

  • Coaching doesn’t work if I care more than you do.
  • Motivation won’t last if it’s built on someone else’s values.
  • Progress begins when you flip the switch.

The question is: Are you ready to commit to your health?

Not perfectly. Just playfully. Because that’s the secret:

You don’t have to do everything. It’s a simple, step-by-step process.

You just have to start with what feels possible—and personal.

If you’re ready to flip the switch on your health—let’s talk

I’m opening up a few 1:1 coaching spots, and I’d love to learn more about you, your goals, and whether we’d be a great fit to work together.
